Claude Expertise & Anthropic Ecosystem
Outcome, method, and proof
Three ways to evaluate whether this is the right service line for your team.
Architecture that takes advantage of the stack
You make Claude-native decisions instead of generic ones — using the right model for the job, the right prompting patterns, the right tool-use architecture — and the result is systems that perform better and cost less than naive implementations.
Practitioner-level fluency
Claude API, system prompting, tool use, prompt caching, MCP, the model lineup, batch inference, computer use, the Skills system — the things you read about in Anthropic’s docs are the things we ship with daily. Not vendor certification; lived practice.
Brunel runs on Claude
Our flagship product is built on the Anthropic stack. We use Claude Code on customer engagements every day. The patterns we recommend are the patterns we’ve fought through; the tradeoffs we name are the tradeoffs we’ve felt.
Three engagement shapes
Match the engagement to the depth of expertise your team needs and the duration of the work.
Architecture review
One to two weeks. We audit your Claude-based system, identify the gaps and the optimization opportunities, and produce a written set of architectural recommendations. Best for teams already shipping but uncertain about the design.
Embedded engagement
Project-scoped. Senior engineers embed with your team to ship a defined scope of work — build, advise, or hybrid. Best for teams who need a Claude expert on the implementation, not just the design.
Fractional CTO-style support
Ongoing retainer. We’re the Claude expert your team can call when architecture decisions come up, when the model lineup shifts, when new Anthropic capabilities ship. Best for teams without a senior Claude expert in-house.
Where this fits — and where it doesn’t
Self-qualify before the call.
Best fits
High signal · book the call- Teams committed to Claude as primary model
- Companies looking for practitioner-level architectural guidance, not generalist consulting
- Engineering leads who need a Claude expert on the team — but not full-time
- Teams scaling from prototype to production on the Anthropic stack
- Companies adopting MCP, computer use, or agentic workflows in earnest
Not a fit
Low signal · we'll redirect- Model-agnostic AI advisory needs (we’re Claude-deep, not neutral)
- Teams committed to OpenAI or other providers as primary
- “What model should we use” exploratory consulting
- Single-engineer teams (we work better with established eng orgs)
- Pure procurement/RFP support without a project tied to it
Questions buyers actually ask
Q.01 Are you Anthropic-only? +
No, but we are Anthropic-deep. Claude is our primary by depth of expertise; we ship with OpenAI, Gemini, and open models when the use case calls for it. If your team is committed to a non-Anthropic provider as primary, we’re probably not the deepest expertise you can find — and we’ll say so on the call.
Q.02 What Claude features do you have deepest expertise on? +
System prompting, tool use, prompt caching, MCP, the model lineup (Opus / Sonnet / Haiku tradeoffs), Claude Code, batch inference, the new Skills system, and computer use. The Anthropic API surface is our daily working surface. When new features ship, we test and integrate within days, not months.
Q.03 Can you embed with our team? +
Yes. Embedded engagements are a common shape — senior engineers working alongside yours on shared tickets, with the same code review and merge discipline as any senior internal engineer. Hybrid (advisory + occasional implementation) is also available.
Q.04 Do you offer fractional CTO services? +
For Claude / AI architecture specifically, yes. Monthly retainer with a defined number of hours, on-call for architecture decisions, model-lineup updates, and ecosystem changes. We don’t do general fractional CTO work outside the AI stack.
